“Dionysus” is Dead Can Dance’s thirteenth studio album, originally released in 2018. Dead Can Dance were formed by Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard in Melbourne, 1981. The band has since featured an altitude of members in addition to its core duo. They combine elements of European folk music with ambient pop and worldbeat flourishes, touching on everything from Gaelic folk to avant-garde pop and darkwave.
“Dionysus” is arguably one of Dead Can Dance's best bodies of work to date, with many of their most popular songs such as “Sea Borne” and “Dance Of The Bacchantes" this album is a must have for any fan of the modern classical scene.
